A well-known Hollywood actress is asked about a possible Zelda role, and her face says it all: “Whoever will have me…”

Emma Myers is no stranger to movies based on video games. The actress recently starred in ‘A Minecraft Movie,’ a box office smash that adapts the Mojang classic. Her character accompanies Jack Black’s character on a journey full of adventure and danger, but will Myers have another opportunity related to a video game saga? The actress is a gamer and has publicly expressed her love for The Legend of Zelda, so Digital Spy asked her if she would like to step into the shoes of Princess Zelda.

“I mean, whoever will have me in their video game movie…,” she said, before listing other possible titles she’d like to be a part of. “’The Last of Us’ show is really, really good so maybe if they did a Red Dead Redemption, that would be sick. Portal would be good. That’d be a really good animated series, or something like that.”

The Legend of Zelda will get a live-action movie

The hero of time will make his big screen debut alongside Princess Zelda. Nintendo has not announced the cast but has confirmed that it is developing a live-action movie to be produced by Avi Arad, producer of ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse,’ and ‘Uncharted,’ among others. The release will be a long time coming, as it was announced during the Nintendo Switch 2 Nintendo Direct that it will be released on March 26, 2027. There have been rumors that it could be a trilogy, but as of today, nothing has been confirmed.

Wes Ball, director of ’Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,’ has been chosen to captain the project.
