Google’s regularly $230 Fitbit Ace LTE Kids Smartwatch drops to the $150 Amazon low today

Amazon is now offering the Fitbit Google Ace LTE Kids Smartwatch for $149.95 shipped. Regularly $230, this is $80 off the list price and a new Amazon all-time low. We did track a short-lived offer courtesy of Woot with a straight $100 price drop just ahead of Black Friday last year, but this is otherwise among the best deals we have tracked and new all-time lows on both colors Amazon offers.

A complete rundown of everything you need to know on the Google Ace LTE awaits over at 9to5Google and in our hands-on review, but we will touch on some highlights right here while we are at it.

In our hands-on impressions one of the main takeaways was that, despite being a watch for kids, there is some serious tech in place here, all of which can be securely managed by parents.

Google says the Ace is a “first-of-its-kind kids smartwatch” complete with a bevy of fitness tracking action, calling and messaging features, as well as GPS connectivity, some activity-based games, and a series of updated additions that landed post-release including Tap to Pay via the Greenlight or GoHenry debit cards, school time access management, and features that allow it to only be used during recess and the like when kids are at school.

  • Use the Fitbit Ace app to call, message, and send voice memos to kids and stay in touch when they’re out and about
  • School Time lets you limit gameplay on your kid’s watch during the day to help them focus
  • It’s full of movement-based games for every level; the more kids move, the farther they get through the game
  • Kids can keep the eejie’s house looking fresh and stay active with a new Noodle and activity challenges
  • Works with both Android and iPhone
