The Great Food Truck Race is bringing new flavors and spins on classic recipes, fun and entertainment and fierce competition to Newport News.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race has come to Newport News.
The unique culinary event is meant to showcase talented food truck chefs and their diverse, tantalizing and delicious creations, featuring a series of thrilling challenges.
On Friday, Newport News Mayor Phillip Jones welcomed the event to the city: “We’re excited to welcome The Great Food Truck Race to Newport News and offer our community the chance to experience the thrill of this culinary competition. This event highlights the creativity and talent of food truck chefs, while also celebrating our city’s vibrant food culture.”
On Monday, a fleet of food trucks offered a wide range of mouthwatering flavors and ingredients to local food lovers at Port Warwick. Those looking for another chance to sample some of the best mobile eats from across the country can find them again on Tuesday, this time at Victory Landing Park from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Great Food Truck Race event is free to attend and explore, but the food truck menu options vary in price. Come hungry and ready to cheer on your favorite food trucks as they race to take home the crown!
