Charity car show held at Top Dawg Tavern

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A car show is now the spotlight of a good way to give back.

Top Dawg Tavern, along with Rogue Army Car Club, held a charity car show where the proceeds go to Compass for Hope and Folds of Honor.

Compass of Hope provides those facing homelessness with the tools and resources for showers and laundry.

Folds of Honor gives scholarships to those who served in the military and want to get a college degree.

One of the organizers says it’s great to give back.

“It’s so important because with the August community, we’re always looking for ways to give back to the community. The Cinemark Park Club is primarily focused on the car scene. In the car scene, they always come out and show support, especially when it’s going back into the community. So everyone gets to come out, showcase their cars for the new car season, as well as all the money going towards the charitable cause,” said Korey Anderson, car owner.
