ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) – You can find pancakes and plenty of lawn equipment at a garden show in Escanaba this weekend.
The annual Escanaba Kiwanis Home & Garden Show has 40 vendors this year. They’ll be selling everything from lawn care equipment, home appliances and tailgate benches for Lions and Packers fans.
There will also be gardening demonstrations by the MSU Extension, and Delta Conservation District will be on-hand selling trees.
Organizers say kids can have fun while the adults shop. Activities include a scavenger hunt, art and much more.
“We have Jenny Brown coming with Moonlight Entertainment and she’s going to do kids karaoke and dance,” Kiwanis Children’s Activities Chair Melissa Bonifas-Ness said. “We did this last year, and we had a pretty good turnout. The kids had a blast.”
Karaoke is on Saturday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The show is in the Ruth Butler Building at the U.P. State Fairgrounds. On Saturday, it runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It’s free to enter. The pancake breakfast costs $9 per adult.
