After 40 years of service, Finance Director Gene Anderson retired from the City of Paris on Monday.
“Being a CPA and obviously a numbers person, it’s fitting to share that his service spanned almost 14,700 calendar days and about 10,000 business days,” said the city.
Anderson worked with over a dozen City Managers and served as Interim City Manager three times during his career with the city.
The Paris City Council recently voted to rename the City Hall West Annex (150 SE 1st St.) the Gene Anderson Annex.
“City employees, retirees, and many of his friends and family stopped by a reception Monday to congratulate Gene and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
