Platte City woman and two kids hurt in March 30 Ray County crash

A woman and two children were injured in a crash on State Route M in Ray County on March 30, 2025, after their vehicle veered off the road and struck an embankment.The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. when a 2018 Toyota Highlander, driven by a 32-year-old Platte City woman, ran off the right side of the roadway.The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the driver overcorrected, causing the SUV to cross the center line, leave the roadway on the left side and hit an embankment.The driver was taken to a hospital.Two passengers, a 7-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl, both from Platte City, were also injured.
