
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Attendees boosted their financial well-being at the 18th annual Money Power Day, the region’s largest free financial fitness fair, which took place on Saturday at the Poly-Western High School Campus.
Hosted by the CASH Campaign of Maryland, this event promised a day filled with fun, informative activities for the whole family.
The event featured free workshops, exhibitors, credit counseling, financial planning, and kids’ activities. “Boost Your Financial Well-Being” was the theme of the day, with activities designed to inspire and inform people of all ages and income levels.
The main stage opening ceremony kicked off at 9:30 a.m. with MC Lady T of Fox45’s BMORE Lifestyle, Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman, Mayor Brandon Scott, and other notable figures.

Participants explored the Exhibitor Hall, featuring over 30 vetted nonprofits, businesses, and government organizations offering on-site financial services and education.
Aspiring entrepreneurs visited the Small Business Zone for one-on-one advice and entered the “Pitch Your Side Hustle” contest for a chance to win cash prizes.
Workshops covered topics such as home buying, small business growth, debt management, and safe banking practices.
The Credit Café assisted attendees in pulling their free credit reports and provided expert advice. The Financial Planning Zone offered one-on-one sessions with Certified Financial Planners.
Children ages 4 to 12 enjoyed the Youth Zone, filled with financially focused activities. Additional services included a shredder truck for spring-cleaning needs, application assistance for public benefits, and more.
The event was free and open to everyone, providing a unique opportunity to learn how to control finances, start or grow a business, and understand credit reports and scores.
