Nintendo Direct: 5 most exciting game reveals for 2025 and how to play in AZ

The Nintendo Direct event on March 27, 2025, revealed a lot of exciting news. Everything from which games are coming soon to sneak peeks of gameplay and trailers for the newly announced games.

And before you ask: No, Nintendo Direct 2025 had no news or updates about the Nintendo Switch 2.

Instead, the 30-minute showcase put a spotlight on some of the biggest games coming to the console this year.

That includes Witchbrook, the successor to hit cozy game Stardew Valley, and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and RAIDOU Remastered. Plus, hot off the news about the epic cast for the “Avengers: Doomsday” movie, there was an update about the new Marvel: Cosmic Invasion game.

Here are the biggest games announced at Nintendo Direct March 2025.

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army

Video game publisher and developer ATLUS announced Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. It’s a remastered version of the 1995 game Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army.

Players will take on the case of the century while enjoying revamped visuals, quality-of-life updates, new voice-overs and an overhauled battle system.

When a young heiress asks the Narumi Detective Agency to kill her and subsequently gets kidnapped, apprentice detective Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, who moonlights as a Devil Summoner, is put on the case. Players become Raidou to work with allied demons to investigate, including in the dangerous Dark Realm, to unravel the mysteries that block his path.

Release date: June 19, 2025.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

After being on a decadelong hiatus, Nintendo announced a new Tomodachi Life game that will come out in 2026.

The original game was released in 2013 in Japan and 2014 in the U.S. and is a social sim game that features the iconic Nintendo Mii characters.

The Miis live on an island together and players are able to create Miis with different personalities and stats that can interact with other Miis. Overtime, the Miis can form relationships with each other, including getting married and having kids.

There aren’t too many details on the game now, but there should be more trailers and information as we get closer to the release date.

Release date: 2026.

Witchbrook

For fans of the cozy farming game Stardew Valley, a new cozy game is coming to Nintendo: Witchbrook.

Witchbrook is set in the vibrant seaside city of Mossport where Witchbrook College opens its doors for aspiring witches. Players learn to harness the magic around them in this detailed life-sim and social RPG. They’ll be able to hop on a broom and explore Mossport, a city filled with enchantment, forgotten secrets, spells and mystical spirits.

Make lasting friendships, find love and help others chase their dreams as you strive to graduate from Witchbrook College.

Release date: Winter 2025.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Part of the ninth generation of Pokémon video games, this new installment will take place in Lumiose City, based on Paris, during an urban redevelopment project to create a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon.

The Lumiose City that players know from the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games released in 2013 has been revamped with more greenery and new facilities with a cutting-edge feel. Shopping arcades, cafes and restaurants coexist with natural areas like waterfronts and verdant parks.

Players will stay in the Hotel Z, which will serve as a base as they meet new friends and tackle all sorts of incidents, including exploring the wild zones where the Pokémon can be found.

Release Date: Late 2025.

SaGa Frontier 2: Remaster

The classic RPG SaGa Frontier 2 has gotten a remaster that includes updated graphics and new content. The best part? It’s out now on Nintendo Switch.

This enhanced version of the 1999 RPG will have players experiencing the intertwined fates of royal heir Gustave, who is caught in a power struggle, and fledgling excavator Wil, who is confronting a hidden world-threatening danger.

This game has been remastered with enhanced HD visuals and gameplay systems, a revamped UI, new post-end-game content and more.

Release Date: Out now.
