Local advocates kick off Easter basket food drive

Greece, N.Y. — As Easter approaches, Rochester’s advocates for peace and justice are calling on the community to support families in need.

United & Healing Through Hope has partnered once again with Tops Friendly Markets for their annual Easter basket food drive, and volunteers are needed to make it a success.

“We need as many food and monetary donations as possible because over the last four to five years, COVID and post-COVID, we have had a lot of food insecurities,” said Clay Harris, Uniting and Healing Through Hope of Monroe County.

Donations can be made through April 14 at Tops stores located in Rochester, Brighton, Greece, Irondequoit, Henrietta, and Penfield.
