The 2025 baseball season is here, which means the return of stadium food: Nowhere is the range of food options better than at Citi Field in Queens. The home base of the New York Mets has really leveled up its dining game in recent years, making it a perfect place to fuel up while rooting for the team. (But, also, RIP Shea Stadium.)
Mets fans can snack on plenty of old-school favorites like hot dogs, burgers, and popcorn, alongside food from new stands — many with New York roots. There’s the debut of chef Kwame Onwuachi’s fast-casual spot Patty Palace with patties; Queens-born halal restaurant Naz’s; and Astoria bakery Cookie Crumz. There’s also the brand-new candy shop “run” by Citi Field mascots Mr. and Mrs. Mets, and stunty foods like Wok N’ Roll’s cinnamon bun egg roll and New York Panini’s burger-smashed hot dog combo sandwich combo. Overall, Citi Field’s dining is overseen by food services company Aramark, led by chefs Jason Eksteroqicz and Paul Horowitz.
Citi Field is also bringing back its rotating food truck vendors out at the Taste of Queens area. This year’s lineup includes local restaurants like Fieldtrip and Arepalicious. Five percent of the food truck sales will be donated to charities focused on feeding people.
Also new this year are the $10 kids meals with chicken tenders and fries served in souvenir Mets hat bowls sold with apple juice. Then there’s the special $5 meal deal for Tuesday home games, which will include 12-ounce Coors Light beers, fountain sodas, hot dogs, and soft pretzels.
Citi Field is going to be hosting parties outside of the stadium during all Saturday home games, which will often feature famed former Mets player Mookie Wilson’s barbecue company Legacy Catering. The Mets Block Party will start three hours before the first pitch of those games, taking place outside from the Jackie Robinson Rotunda to the Left Field Gate. It’s open to the public.
The Mets’ first home game is on Friday, April 4 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

There are also a lot of other boozed-up beverages like hard seltzers and mixed drinks. They include canned cocktail brand Gin & Juice by rappers Dr. Dre and Snoop and a canned pickled spritz by Spritz Society. There’s also the new Queens Quencher cocktail with vodka, blue raspberry liqueur, and lemonade served in a clear souvenir globe-shaped glass.
Let’s go Mets!!!!!
