Roadrunners Rally

It started on March 19, when Butte edged out Lassen in a nail-biting 3-2 finish. A gutsy win that showed flashes of the fire this team’s been trying to ignite.

Then came March 22 and the Roadrunners turned a corner.

Hosting Chabot for a doubleheader, Butte came out swinging. Game one was a statement in control, a 5-1 victory that set the tone. Game two? That was an all-out offensive onslaught. Seventeen runs. Seventeen. The Roadrunners left no doubt, dismantling Chabot 17-5 and sending a message loud and clear: Butte Softball is getting stronger.

Rolling with momentum and chasing their first four game win streak of the season, Butte faced off with Cosumnes River. The visiting squad landed the first punch—three runs in the fifth. But this version of the Roadrunners doesn’t fold.

They rallied. Two clutch runs in the sixth. One more in the seventh. And just like that, four straight wins.

It’s not just a streak. It’s a signal. The Roadrunners are picking up steam
