NORTH SMITHFIELD – The North Smithfield School Committee voted unanimously last week to change the status of the district’s athletic director position from part-time to full-time, a move school officials say has been long overdue.
The change, taking effect immediately, raises the position from 0.6 full-time equivalent (FTE) to 1.0 FTE, increasing the salary to $86,700 and providing full-time benefits.
