We asked for your views on what might be going under the radar at St James’ Park.

Here are some of your comments:

Josh: That we have terrible goalkeeper options. Pope’s decision making and kicking are awful and Dubravka is too old. Signing a new keeper is a must in the summer.

Hughie: No one’s noticed that Newcastle actually have the best midfield three in the league. We have the perfect balance with Bruno playmaking, Tonali dictating play and spraying passes like it’s no one’s business, and Joelinton doing all the dirty work at at very high level.

Chris: Probably the fact that in the last two to three transfer windows we’ve made no first team transfers, and yet are still challenging for top four and we’ve won a cup! Not many teams can boast or do that.

Joe: Lots of talk around securing European football next season but I feel people are ignoring the obvious lack of depth in the squad. Cup final was EPIC but you can’t deny that the other competitions suffered somewhat in the run-up. We need a big summer transfer window and with clubs making little to no effort to disguise their intentions of going after the likes of Isak and Tonali, we also have work to do to even maintain the status quo.
