Andy Beshear signed a bill into law that makes “sextortion” a felony in the Commonwealth.The crime refers to when someone gets a sexually explicit photo and threatens to release it if the victim doesn’t meet their demands, which could be monetary or sexual.Beginning next school year, Kentucky schools will be required to teach high school and middle school students the dangers of sextortion.
