The Healthy Kids Running Series, a national non-profit organization that introduces children to the sport through events that encourage both confidence and self-esteem, is set to launch the inaugural Galloway chapter next month. Organized by westside native Rose Lynch, pictured here preparing for a friendly race with her daughter Emma, the five-week running series will be open to children of all abilities from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
The first race of the running series will take place on April 13 at 3 p.m. at Westland High School. The following running series races are scheduled for April 27, May 4, May 11 and May 18 at the same time and location.
