Food insecurity rises in Dane County, study shows

MADISON, Wis. — A recent report from Second Harvest Food Bank and Public Health Madison and Dane County shows more people are facing food insecurity now than they were during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the study, one in 10 people in Dane County have been considered as “food insecure,” including one in eight children.

Executive Director of Second Harvest Food Bank, Michelle Orge, joined News 3 Now Live at Four Tuesday to talk about the rise of food insecurity.
