The City of Reno has released updated pricing information in regards to adult recreational sports leagues.
According to a document posted on the City of Reno website, the city is facing a budget shortfall due to lower revenues and rising costs – so the Athletics Division of Reno Parks and Rec is taking steps to keep the programs afloat.
What this means is an increase in the fees collected to cover any extra costs associated with operating the leagues and programs.
The document points out that the increases amount to less than $1 per player per game, and that any future increases are going to be kept small.
Below are the new league fees, starting in Summer 2025:
Sport | Previous Team Fee | New Team Fee | Cost Per Player Per Season (est) | Cost Per Game (est) |
Basketball | $600 | $650 | $7.15 | $0.90 |
Volleyball | $225 | $280 | $7.00 | $0.70 |
Softball | $580 | $650 | $5.00 | $0.50 |
Kickball | $390 | $425 | $2.50 | $0.25 |
