It was ordered to move tens of thousands of items out in two weeks. Now, a cult museum has a brief extension after its lease was terminated

A fraught rent battle between the City of Cambridge and a cult favourite museum has a resolution — for now. 

On Thursday, the City of Cambridge granted a request by the Fashion History Museum (FHM) to extend a deadline to vacate its longtime home after its lease was unexpectedly terminated last week. The city had initially granted the museum 14 days to vacate the decommissioned post office, which the FHM has occupied since 2015.
