Asia Model Festival (AMF), which leads the Asian model, fashion, and beauty industries, has taken full-fledged steps to expand the global market. From the 18th to the 20th, a business briefing session was held at the Gangwon Land High1 Resort Hotel and a strategy to strengthen cooperation with Asian partners was announced, adding to expectations.

The Asian Model Festival has become a central axis of the Asian model, fashion, and beauty industries for 20 years. Above all, it has grown into a cultural content platform that also attracts attention in the global market. Last year, it held an event for 27 Asian countries, expanding cooperation with models, designers, and brands from each country.

The Asian Model Festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, plans to further strengthen its network with Asian countries and focus on building a new revenue model with the aim of developing into a global business platform. To this end, the organizing committee invited partners from each country to hold business presentations and share global expansion strategies.

This business briefing session attracted attention as a meeting to invite major partners and officials from 27 Asian countries to discuss global business strategies and cooperation plans. At this briefing session, representatives from the model, fashion, and beauty industries from each country gathered to share the future vision of the Asian Model Festival and discuss plans for business expansion by country and joint projects. Through this, it plans to provide opportunities for models, fashion, and beauty brands from each country to enter the global market and establish various cooperation models.

In particular, key agendas included the way the preliminary competitions and global finals are operated in Asian countries, strategies to attract brand and corporate sponsorship, and the direction of sustainable industrial development considering ESG (environmental, social and governance) factors. Through this, the Asian Model Festival plans to prepare a structure for the overall model, fashion, and beauty industries in Asia to grow together.

The Asian Model Festival is becoming a global platform that combines fashion, beauty, and entertainment beyond the existing model competition. Marking its 20th anniversary this year, it will focus on building a business model through closer cooperation with models and fashion brands from 27 Asian countries.

In particular, joint marketing using national networks, brand collaboration projects, customized education programs to foster new models, and strengthening collaboration with global fashion and beauty brands are discussed as major tasks.

Professional education and training will be held at the Model Camp, where new models selected from Asian countries participate. In addition, it will support the growth of a competitive model on the global stage. It also provides an opportunity to promote the Asian fashion industry to the world through the “Asia Open Collection” involving fashion brands and designers from Asian countries.

Yang Sik, chairman of the Asian Model Festival Organizing Committee, said, “As the Asian Model Festival has led the globalization of the Asian cultural industry over the past 20 years, we will build a stronger global network and prepare for a new leap forward through this business briefing.”

Lim Hoon, CEO of Asia Model Festival, said, “The Asian Model Festival will leap into a cultural business platform connecting Asia and the world,” adding, “We plan to cooperate with partners in Asian countries to lay the foundation for the sustainable growth of the model, fashion, and beauty industry.”
