MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – MPD responded to a report of an aggravated assault involving two men and a machete.
Zeyad Elhoufy, 21, asked the victim to watch his food at a Macon Mart.
After the victim declined, Elhoufy grew agitated and pulled out a large machete and began swinging it around, according to MPD.
He chased the victim into a gas station and after missing a few swings, the fourth connected with the victim’s left forearm cutting down to the bone.
Elhoufy fled the scene as the victim was transported to a Regional One hospital.
The victim assisted MPD, identifying Elhoufy in a six-person photographic lineup.
