First spotted by Twitter user Geralt of Goonia, Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ SteamDB page shows that the game launched on March 20 at 12 AM UTC, despite being scheduled to go live on Steam at 4 AM UTC, raising questions about whether it was a mistake, sheer incompetence, or an elaborate plan that has prompted the change. At the time of writing, the game has reached a peak of 17,477 concurrent users, though it’s obvious that the number will go up as more players catch wind of the early launch.
