NTC to offer free dental sealant clinic for kids – Wausau Pilot & Review

WAUSAU – Northcentral Technical College has partnered with the Community Partners Campus to offer a free dental sealant clinic for children ages 6 to 17.

The event is open to the public and will be held from 8 a.m. to noon April 4 at NTC’s Wausau campus in the Center for Health Sciences building, 1000 W. Campus Drive.

Dental sealant services will be provided by NTC dental hygiene students, under the supervision of dentists and hygienists, and focus on preventative dental care to keep teeth healthy. Sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to back teeth to help prevent cavities. They seal off grooves where food and bacteria can become trapped, making teeth easier to clean. The application process is quick and painless. Sealants last for several years, which helps prevent cavities for kids and teens well into the future.

No proof of finances, insurance or residency is needed. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 715-803-1585.
