Free food, clothing available at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church

If you or your family needs a little help getting food or clothing for kids, head to the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in the Chapel Hill/Ben Davis neighborhood every other Saturday.

Food pantry and Kids Clothing Corner

The church, 963 N. Girls School Road, distributes food from the Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana during a food pantry from 10 a.m. to noon every second and fourth Saturday of the month. Free breakfast and coffee is available for all pantry patrons.

If you have an immediate need and live in the 46214 ZIP code, stop by the church office with a valid ID proving your residence there to receive an emergency bag of food. The emergency food bags are available once every three months.

The church’s Kids Clothing Corner, which runs at the same time as the pantry, has free clothing and other items available for kids, from newborns to teenagers. Families can get up to 10 items of clothing per child, one pair of shoes and three books.

Happy Bottoms Diapers program

Every second Saturday of the month, the church gives away 3,500 diaper packages and 60 packets of diaper wipes from the Indiana Diaper Bank to families that need them during the food pantry.
