UPPER MICHIGAN, (WLUC)- Feeding America West Michigan’s mobile food pantry will assist families experiencing food insecurity in Escanaba and Marquette Wednesday.
The first pantry is at the Salvation Army at 3001 5th Ave. S. in Escanaba. Food distribution for that event gets underway at 10 a.m. Eastern time.
The second event is located outside NMU’s Berry Events Center in Marquette. Food distribution there begins at noon Eastern time.
Families unable to attend either event can have a stand-in pick up food for them, but space is limited. Stand-ins will need to provide the name, address, and household size of any family they pick up food for.
Both pantries are drive-thru events. Attendees are asked to stay in their vehicle and have enough space in their back seat or trunk for volunteers to put boxes directly in.
