But is it really that important? Moore is a profound screenwriter and producer: he has worked on Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and many other shows and even received Emmy and Hugo awards, so does he really need to play games to understand them and shoot great series? I’m sure he has familiarized himself with the original story, so there is no need to panic yet.
Back in 2022, Amazon promised the show would be both “true to the source material” and “compelling on its own.” However, last year, the project lost its showrunners and producers and was started from scratch. This might be an alarming sign or a chance at something fresh – we will see when the God of War series finally gets released.
