Free food on St. Patrick’s Day. These Indiana restaurants have freebies and specials

St. Patrick’s Day is a golden opportunity to dine and drink at a discount with Indiana restaurants and shops offering freebies and specials.

Here’s a look at places where customers can save some green on meals and beverages.

Free St. Patrick’s Day doughnuts at Krispy Kreme

Customers who wear green to Krispy Kreme shops March 17, whether in-store or via the drive-thru, can get one free O’riginal Glazed Doughnut, the Original Glazed Doughnut dyed green, no purchase necessary.

Also, today, thousands of Krispy Kreme customers nationwide will win a “Pot of Gold Pass,” which is worth free Original Glazed doughnuts for a year – one dozen per month from April 2025 through March 2026, according to the company.

The doughnut chain also has a limited-edition doughnut collection inspired by St. Patrick’s Day, including four new festive flavors:

• Pot of Gold Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in golden caramel-flavored icing and topped with caramel-flavored buttercreme and gold coin glitter sprinkles.
• Over the Rainbow Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with cake batter flavored Kreme, dipped in light green icing and topped with shamrock rainbow sprinkles and a rainbow sugar piece.
• Choco-Shenanigans Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with white Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing and topped with green icing drizzles and gold coin glitter sprinkles.
• St. Patty’s Swirl Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in white icing with green icing swirl and dipped in white and gold sanding sugar.

Free onion rings at Burger King for St. Patrick’s Day

Royal Perks members can get free onion rings of any size with a $1 or more purchase at Burger King. Additionally, with the Combo Combinations promotion, customers can upgrade the sides of select combo meals with Chicken Fries, Mozzarella Fries, or Churro Fries for free until April 11.

Kona Grill specials on St. Patrick’s Day

Through March 21, Kona Grill happy hour and takeout specials, including:

• Corned Beef Sliders with Chips – $6 (Happy Hour), $19 (All Day)
• Sake, Seltzer, or Green Beer – $3 (Happy Hour)
• 6 Corned Beef Sliders with Chips (Takeout only) – $49

Logan’s Roadhouse has introduced green butter this year to go along with green beer being served today.

Eddie Merlot’s menu on St. Patrick’s Day

Eddie Merlot’s is offering a selection of green cocktails perfect for celebrating St. Paddy’s Day, including the Sake Sunset, Spicy Pineapple Margarita and the Grasshopper.

• Sake Sunset ($16) – A blend of sake, Grey Goose vodka, Midori, pineapple juice, fresh lemon sour and club soda, topped with a Bordeaux cherry.
• Spicy Pineapple Margarita ($15) – A bold combination of Flecha Azul Blanco tequila, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice and simple syrup, garnished with a spicy jalapeño.
• Grasshopper ($16) – A mix of Irish whiskey, créme de menthe, rich white créme de cocoa, Frangelico and cream.

Baskin-Robbins BOGO sundaes on St. Patrick’s Day

Baskin-Robbins has BOGO 50% off sundaes through March 31, including some special green scoops — Pistachio Almond, Mint Chocolate Chip and Wild ‘n Reckless.

Milkshakes are specially priced at $5 for a small, $6 for a medium and $7 for a large. Also available, a St. Patrick’s Day Cake, decorated with a rainbow, pot of gold and sprinkles.

Free Crumbl treats on St. Patrick’s Day

Through March 22, Crumbl is offering a 6-for-4 deal. Customers can purchase six full-size desserts for the price of four at Crumbl.

The company has introduced a new Chocolate Mint Cake to its rotating menu that features two layers of rich dark chocolate cake stacked with semi-sweet chocolate ganache, mint cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with smooth Andes Créme De Menthe Candy Pieces.

Free ice cream cone at Dairy Queen for first day of spring

Dairy Queen customers should look ahead to March 20 when the chain will offer a free cone to celebrate the first day of spring.

For now though, customers can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Mint Oreo Blizzard Treat, a combination of Oreo cookie pieces and a cool mint topping blended with DQ’s soft serve.

McAlister’s Deli has added two limited-time items to its menu in honor of the Irish holiday. Through March 26, the following items are available:

• Leprechaun Lemonade: A mix of McAlister’s Old fashioned lemonade with a blend of blue raspberry syrup and peach puree; $3.99
• Corned Beef Spud: A giant spud loaded with corned beef, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing; $10.29

Applebee’s limited-time menu

St. Patrick’s Day at Sullivans Steakhouse

Sullivan’s Steakhouse has two new limited-time cocktails for St. Patrick’s Day:

• Shamrock Martini ($16) – A blend of Ketel One Vodka, Midori, Cointreau, fresh lime and lemon juice, and edible glitter.
• Four-Leaf Clover Old Fashioned ($15) – A St. Patrick’s Day spin on the classic old fashioned with Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, simple syrup, Angostura Bitters and Peychaud’s Bitters.

Also, a new two for $199 menu starting Feb. 25, features a 32 oz. Prime Porterhouse paired with two cold water lobster tails and a bottle of Caymus-Suisin Grand Durif.
