Free Admission for 50 Kids at HOOT the Movie

Buttonwood Nature Center is partnering with Waynesboro Theatre to present the movie, HOOT on Saturday, April 5. There are two showings, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The movie is part of Buttonwood’s Earth Celebration Month activities and Buttonwood staff will be at the 4 p.m. showing.

The first 50 children age 12 and under get free admission and a small popcorn at the 4 p.m. showing only.

Based on the best-selling children’s book by Carl Hiaasen, the film is about a group of children trying to save a burrowing owl habitat from destruction.

“HOOT is a story about the importance of friendship and the value of standing up for what is right,” said Jessica Watson, Buttonwood’s assistant director. 

Ticket cost: Adult $7; Kids 12 & Under $6. Get tickets at the door.

This event is presented in partnership with Waynesboro Theatre and sponsored by Rarrick Orthodontics. Doug Tengler sponsored the 50 free admissions.
