Ok, haven’t we had enough of this bird flu garbage yet?
Egg Shortages Continue In The UK
It messed up our egg supplies royally, and I can’t even get Waffle House without a “surcharge” for each egg.
It’s just been one thing after another that has been difficult for almost all of us.
Now, it’s not just us that are getting inconvenienced by all of this mess but also our pets.
Tuscaloosa’s Adoptable All Stars, Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, How to Adopt a Cat, How to Adopt a Dog
If you’re a cat owner or cat person who buys cat food for your “fur baby” then you should know that the latest news is about bird flu tainted cat food.
“People who fed [their] cats the recalled products should watch for symptoms of bird flu, including fever, lethargy, low appetite, reddened or inflamed eyes, discharge from the eyes and nose, difficulty breathing, and neurological signs like tremors, stiff body movements, seizure, lack of coordination or blindness,” the notice says.
Veterinarians with a dog
Anyone whose pet exhibit these signs “should immediately contact their veterinarian,” the FDA advises.
This involves a few different products that are fed to felines and make sure you look closely at all the products.
Recall toy block
Savage Pet of El Cajon, California, is recalling 66 large chicken boxes (84 oz.) and 74 small chicken boxes (21 oz.) with the lot code/”best by” date of 11.15.2026, as these products have “the potential to contain H5N1, also known as bird flu,” according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
“People who handled the recalled products should watch for symptoms of bird flu, including eye redness or irritation (conjunctivitis), cough, sore throat, sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, muscle/body aches, headaches, fatigue, fever, trouble breathing, seizures, rash, diarrhea, nausea and/or vomiting.” the notice says.
How does this stuff happen to begin with? Cat food possibly infected or contaminated by bacteria or viruses or something else like that and it would seem that they would have been on top of that stuff before the virus started spreading.
