Every autumn, thousands of visitors fall in love with Greenville’s largest foodie festival.

And taste testing isn’t the only fun that goes on at the event ― there are seven stages that local musicians get to share, filling the air with the sounds of country, rock, hip hop, pop, and jazz.

Fall for Greenville may be a long way off, but USA TODAY is bringing the festival to the forefront through its 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

In the contest’s Best City Food Festival category, Fall for Greenville ranked at No. 6, with L.A. Love Alex’s Lemonade festival following at No. 7.

Here’s why Fall for Greenville is one of the best food festivals to attend in the nation.

Fall for Greenville is in one of the country’s ‘best small cities’

Fall for Greenville is a free three-day food festival that kicks off every October. Taste tickets are available at multiple locations throughout the festival and must be purchased to enjoy food and beverages. They can also be used for kids’ activities and festival merchandise.

At the festival, guests can try a variety of unique cuisines curated by some of the city’s best chefs. Per USA TODAY, 60 restaurants serve up over 250 menu items, along with 50-plus beer taps and wine vendors. Local musical artists also take to the stage, showcasing their talents and adding to a good time.

“In between Latin fusion dishes, pastrami sandwiches, and deep-fried brownies, explore the seven stages of entertainment,” said the news publication. “Little noshers have their very own area with rides and activities, too.”
