HONOLULU (Island News) — Lloyd Hisaka – a prominent figure in Hawaii officiating – has been selected for induction into the 2025 class of the National High School Hall of Fame.
The longtime high school and collegiate football and basketball official joins an elite group of Hawaii individuals previously inducted into the National High School Hall of Fame.
The short list includes Charlie Wedemeyer, a Punahou School multi-sport standout athlete, Jeff Meister, current Punahou School swimming and diving coach and Clarissa Chun, a Roosevelt High School wrestling trailblazer.
Hisaka himself has an impressive resume that includes serving on the National Federation of State High School Associations football rules committee. On the field, he has officiated collegiate and high school football and basketball games since 1976. He’s also the founding member of the Hawaii Football Official’s Clinic.
Hisaka and 10 other honorees will be officially inducted during the 42nd induction ceremony of the National High School Hall of Fame on June 30th in Chicago.
