More interesting is that the studio has made this mobile version of “Disco Elysium” in the hopes of targeting TikTok users, which is evident in the delivery that the chapters and dialogue shown via the trailer.

“We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all-new, deeply engaging form of entertainment,” studio head Dennis Havel said.

“Disco Elysium” arrived on Windows Oct. 2019, and then on macOS in April 2020. The game itself was a massive hit with fans, leading to the creation of “Disco Elysium: The Final Cut.”

The new version of the game was reworked with voice acting and new content and was released on consoles and as a free update for PC users. IGN would give the updated version a 10/10, and the current Metacritic score is 89.

The groundbreaking RPG puts the player in the role of a man who has awakened in a drunken stupor in the town of Martinaise. Due to a bender and amnesia related to addiction, trauma, and more, the player must find out who they are while also solving a murder mystery.

Fans had hoped that “Disco Elysium 2” would be next for the studio but it was reported that 25% of the studio’s staff would be laid off, and the company would not follow through with a much-asked-about sequel.

The good news is fans can experience “Disco Elysium” in a brand-new format, which is exclusive to Android devices and will be released summer of 2025.
