WOODBURN Ore. (KPTV) – Prosecuting attorneys on Thursday introduced a lawsuit that alleges the chief medical officer abused boys for years at Oregon’s MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility.
The attorneys said Dr. Edward Gary Edwards molested the boys so often that he was known as “Dr. Cold Fingers” among the children and employees at the Oregon youth facility.
The abuse allegedly happened between 2000 and 2007 when the pair of boys in the lawsuit were 12 to 16, according to the lawsuit.
Edwards, who died last month, worked at the facility for 40 years.
A spokesperson for OYA told FOX 12 on Thursday that they could not comment on the lawsuit.
