Little Rock food truck preserves family tradition with delicious food | Stormy’s Soul Food & More

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Nestled right in Little Rock is Stormy’s Soul Food and More — a food truck that serves incredible wings, burgers, salad, and country catfish to those in the capital city! 

Loretta “Lynn” Moore owns and operates Stormy’s. She hopes not only the food, but the name will continue the legacy of her biggest fan. 

“Stormy’s came from my mother’s nickname,” Moore said. “She passed away on New Year’s Eve 2023 and I got the truck just a month before she passed away.”

Moore used the money she saved for the truck to pay for her mother’s funeral. 

In the face of tragedy, she was still able to open with the help of her family, and following her mother’s passing, Loretta’s kids immediately knew what to name the truck.

“I was thinking what a better name because she taught me how to cook,” Moore said. “I’ve been cooking since I was 7 years old, and I learned from my mom and my grandma.”

Give Stormy’s one try and you’ll see that she taught her extremely well. The menu is massive for a food truck featuring wings, burgers, salads, catfish, Philly cheesesteaks, and even chicken tenders for the kids.

Hayden recommends the “Stormy Special” that features five wings, a smashburger, and fries —  but do not forget the “stormy sauce” that Loretta’s mother made from scratch. 

“I’ve been making that since I was a pup. My mom came up with it. We only use it on the chicken, but some people ask me to put it on their fish too,” Moore said. 

Stormy’s is primarily located at 3320 Mabelvale Pike in Little Rock, but check their Facebook page for different locations throughout the week.
