CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) – Wednesday morning, Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are partnering with Feeding America West Michigan to host a Mobile Food Pantry to help families in need.
Food distribution begins at 10 a.m. and continues while supplies last or until 11:30 a.m. Eastern time. Organizers say there will be enough food available for approximately 550 families. Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are located at 219 Silver Creek Road.
Due to changes with Feeding America West Michigan, proxy pickup is limited. The pantry is a drive-thru event with directions given by parking lot attendants. Guests are asked to stay in their cars and have enough space prepared in their trunk or back seat to allow volunteers with the distribution team to put food boxes directly in the vehicle.
