As usual with playtests, account progress might be reset during the alpha and will be fully restarted before launch. The money you spend will be returned when the game gets released.
The word ‘microtransactions’ always leaves a sour taste in players’ mouths, but EA’s Skate, set to launch this year, will be free, so an in-game shop is an expected occurrence.
