Week 10 Car Show Report – 2025
Driving out to Fontana, iDSC Community Reporter Scot S takes us to the Pickups Limited Pomona Valley Rout 66 Car Show. And as he displays below. Pickup trucks were a big part of the show. But nowhere near the only part of the show!
Tom,
Saturday had us driving inland on a beautiful day to the Pickups Limited Pomona Valley’s Route 66 Car Show in Fontana. I was pleasantly surprised to find maybe a couple hundred vehicles there, including:
– A ’51 Merc sled
– A ’51 Hudson given the sled treatment
– A nice Shoebox
– A 67 Chevelle … Lessee, Big ‘n’ littles, 8-71 blower, Big and Ugly injector hat … I wonder if it’s a Pro Street build?
– Rows of squarebodies, and more squarebodies
– A sweet last ride in a ’64 Hearse
– 50 Olds Futurematic. Check out the eight (count ’em) one-sies on the engine.
– 26 T looking like a phone booth.
– And even one mini-truck
– ’65 Ranchero cos I like ’em, and usually catches the eye of my better half, although this time
– My wife’s favorite this time was the ’60 Stude ‘vert. Nice car,
– But I think my favorite was the ’57 Task Force massaged into a double cab and bagged. Despite the choice of the spike lugs.
Scot
PS. And if you couldn’t bring your 1:1 scale ride, there’s always an RC.
PPS and one last squarebody which can be fully equipped appropriate libation. I think you can find the Tap Truck IE on IG.
