NE10 Faces in the Crowd: You Scored How Many Times?

Each week during the academic year, the NE10 honors Athletes of the Week for all of its 24 sponsored sports while they are in season. Faces in the Crowd shines a spotlight on outstanding on-field performances that didn’t earn Athlete of the Week recognition, while also highlighting academic or community efforts from student-athletes across the league.

Below are this week’s NE10 Faces in the Crowd.

ABBY LINEMAN
School: SNHU
Sport: Softball

Technically this list honors last week’s performances, but Lineman has now hit in seven straight.  She was being highlighted for driving in 10 runs last week … and then she drove in 11 on Tuesday.  Like, in one day.  We think that’s pretty cool too.

ALLIE PALMER
School: SCSU
Sport: Lacrosse

Palmer found the cage four times in the SCSU win over Saint Michael’s last week, but none more important than her game-winning free position shot with five seconds to go in regulation.  The four-goal performance marked a career high.

ASHLEY KOLOMECHUK
School: Adelphi
Sport: Lacrosse

An All-Rookie performer in 2024, Kolomechuk was off to a slower start in 2025, scoring six goals in four games. Then she got back to doing what the Panthers know her for and the sophomore dropped seven on Franklin Pierce, second-most by an NE10 player this season.

DAVID GAGNON
School: Bentley
Sport: Lacrosse

A career high seven goals for Kolomechuk was matched by a career high seven goals for David Gagnon.  The senior led Bentley to victory over Bridgeport last week with his offensive outburst.

JAMES ROSELLON
School: Pace
Sport: Lacrosse

The sophomore has taken over for the graduated Max Streety and led the team with 15 ground balls in a 2-0 week while recording a face-off percentage of 83% (30-36) for the top-5 Setters.

NICOLE SPINELLI
School: SCSU
Sport: Softball

In a win at Post, Spinelli reached base in all four plate appearances and was 3-for-3 with four runs scored, three RBIs, a double, and a stolen base. She has started the season off batting .571 (8-for-14) with a team leading eight RBIs and .625 on-base percentage. She also has five runs scored, three doubles, and a stolen base.

PATRICK DILLON
School: SCSU
Sport: Baseball

Dillon hit five home runs last week and went yard in three straight games.  That’s pretty much it.  Don’t need to do much else to make this list.  But just for fun he also had a five RBI game against Bridgeport and a pair of three RBI games.

SEBASTIAN SIMONSON
School: Saint Michael’s
Sport: Lacrosse

Simonson is now Saint Mike’s all-time leading scorer with 174 points.  He had a four-goal, four-assist day last week to put him over the hump for the career milestone.

STEVE DeMARTINIS
School: Bentley
Sport: Baseball

Becoming a regular on this list, DeMartinis went 6-for-6 against Molloy last week and is hitting over .450 this spring after missing all of 2024.  He hit in nine of the season’s first 11 games.
