Black-owned business ‘The Beauty Runners’ to offer cosmetic services at Miami fashion show

As the city of Miami Beach prepares to host “The Show Miami,” its first-ever social fashion fair from March 17-19, 2025, the spotlight isn’t just on global fashion brands and emerging designers; it also shines light on a local Black-owned business bringing a fresh, inclusive approach to beauty services at the event.

The Beauty Runners, formerly known as BSExpress Delivery, will be offering on-demand beauty services to all registered exhibitors and guests at The Show Miami this weekend. This mobile beauty service company is disrupting the beauty industry by making salon-quality services accessible to people in underserved communities. Founded by Lakeshia Grays, the company is dedicated to serving those who may face challenges accessing traditional beauty services, including elderly, disabled, or busy individuals.

Grays’ vision for The Beauty Runners extends beyond providing beauty on the go. By partnering with local cosmetology schools, the company creates pathways for students to gain real-world experience while earning financial and workforce opportunities. With this model, The Beauty Runners also supports nonprofits like Beauty Runs Deep, furthering its mission to empower beauty professionals and uplift communities.

During the fashion fair, The Beauty Runners will be stationed at partnered hotels, offering beauty appointments and services to all of the show’s exhibitors and guests.

The event, taking place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, is expected to draw thousands of fashion enthusiasts, industry leaders, and buyers from across the globe. Featuring brands like Lacoste, Levi’s, and Perry Ellis, as well as a host of emerging designers, The Show Miami will be an immersive experience for the fashion community and the public.
