Beauties on 4 wheels evoke nostalgia at vintage car show

Lucknow: The Oudh Heritage Car Club showcased a vibrant collection of vintage and classic automobiles during a rally at a restaurant near Metro City in Paper Mill Colony on Sunday morning. Enthusiasts and spectators gathered to witness an array of iconic models, bringing back nostalgia.
Proud owners arrived in their well-maintained Baby Austins, Wolseley, Volkswagen, MG, Standard, Morris Minors, Baby Hindustan, Fiat Topolino, Landmark and Mercedes. Each vehicle, gleaming under the morning sun, reflected the rich legacy of automobile craftsmanship.
Club secretary Keshav Mathur highlighted this was the fourth rally of the season and mentioned that one more event waas planned before summer set in, to celebrate classic cars.
Vintage car owner and restorer M A Khan said, “There are many challenges in maintaining these cars, but our love for these vintage machines motivates us to overcome them.”
Another car owner, Dr Shobhit Chawla, added, “Each time we take these vintage beauties on the road, we are transported back to an era when these cars ruled the streets.”
The rally provided an opportunity for automobile enthusiasts to connect, share experiences and relive the charm of vintage motoring in the city.
Car enthusiast Mohammad Ubaid Khan, who visited the rally, remarked, “As a car lover, it is always a delight to admire these automobiles. In an age of hi-tech cars, these classics stand as a legacy of engineering excellence from the past.”
