WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) — The mobile food business is becoming more and more popular, and one group is looking to help budding entrepreneurs get started in the growing field. The UW Extension held a food truck workshop in Wausau this weekend – it’s a new program that they recently launched to help give aspiring food truck and catering entrepreneurs the tools and knowledge that are essential to their success in a field that can be difficult but rewarding.
According to Addison Vang with the UW Extension, people come ready to learn with a lot of interest. They put a lot of thought in to this, and they need a little support – and that’s where they try to provide all of the information that they can, to really help jump start them.
This is the third workshop that the Extension has held – they also held one in Eau Claire and one in Milwaukee in the past several months. They do plan on holding more in the future, including one in Appleton in April.
