Rummage sale in Streetsboro to let kids sell their wares

The city of Streetsboro plans an indoor garage sale with children’s toys, games, books, movies, clothes and other kid-oriented items on March 29.

The city’s first kid-operated rummage market will run 9 a.m. to noon at Streetsboro Community Center, 8970 Kirby Lane.

The event will feature more than 15 tables operated by children ages 6 to 15, who will be on-hand selling treasures and making some extra spending money. Children may display their handmade items for sale, showcase their wares and get an idea of what it’s like to own and run a small business. They will gain experience merchandising, selling, making change and learning how to negotiate a bargain.

All vendor spots have sold out.

Buyers are welcome, and admission and parking are free. The city is not responsible for the quality, condition or performance of the items sold.

The Weiner Guy food truck and C & J Best Bakes Dessert Truck & Coffee also will be on-site, and Streetsboro’s Junior Baseball-Softball will offer goodies.
