All the Charleston Wine + Food Fringe Events to Know This Weekend

It’s tiiiiiiiiiiiiime. The Charleston Wine + Food festival has launched its series of events in the Lowcountry, and food aficionados have descended on the city. There are still a few tickets left for the Culinary Village, Big Shrimpin’, Good Vines Only, and the Day Party, but if you can’t make it to those, here’s the rundown of fringe events going on around town.

Thursday, March 6

WINE — Head to Park Circle wine bar Stems & Skins from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to chat with Cameron Abbott, founder of The Piedmont Guy, for an evening dedicated to the wines of Piedmont.

ITALIAN LATE NIGHT — Italian restaurant Sorelle hosts an afterparty from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with wood-fired and Sicilian-style pizzas, shareable antipasti, gelato, and truffle martinis.

FREE SNACKS — Neighborhood eater the Archer will host an industry afterparty from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with free snacks (warm olives, piri piri duck toast, cheese curds, fried chicken livers, and more) and $12 cocktails.

FOOD AND FASHION — Billy Reid is hosting its annual Charleston Wine + Food festival party, which will feature bites from Babas and samples from Highwire Distilling Co. from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday, March 7

FREE HAM — Stop by Chinese spot Beautiful South for free ham and bourbon from Lady Edison Pork and Virgil Kaine from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

WINE — Head to Park Circle wine bar Stems & Skins from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to chat with Philippe Broom, aka Philly Bottles, from de Maison Selections for a porron party.

KARAOKE — Chill wine spot Graft will bring the karaoke to Friday night from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. for $50. Karaoke from First Wives Karaoke, welcome drink by Don_Luchi, and late-night snacks included.

Saturday, March 8

BISCUIT BRUNCH — Hit up Counter Culture Coffee from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for caffeine, breakfast from Baba’s, blood orange mimosas, and espresso martinis. Tickets are $45.

WINE — Park Circle wine bar Stems & Skins host Shelley Lindgren of Tansy Wines and A16 for a celebration of women in wine, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

AFROBEATS — The Cocktail Bandits welcome guests to the Starlight Motor Inn for a super fun afterparty for a night of great music, good eats, and fun drinks.
