P.F. Chang’s at the Christiana Mall to open Wednesday
P.F. Chang’s, first Delaware site located at the Christiana Mall, will open on Wednesday. 2/25/25
The owner of a Dover-area food truck is bringing her Korean fried chicken to a stall in downtown Wilmington’s Chancery Market Food Hall & Bar.
Stix Chicken will open on Thursday, March 6, at the food hall on the bottom floor of the Hercules building at 313 N. Market St. It is taking over the site formerly occupied by Pokelicious, a business from Venezuelan-born proprietor and chef Jhonathan Gomez, who sold Japanese- and Hawaiian-style rice bowls since 2023.
Stix Chicken, founded in 2020, is owned and operated by Jamela Johnson. Her food truck, which serves crunchy chicken, travels around sites in the Dover and Middletown areas.
Stix’s Chancery Market location will serve breakfast sandwiches and hashbrowns, Korean fried chicken sandwiches, wraps, flatbread, wings, macaroni and cheese, banana pudding and honey butter cornbread.
Johnson in a prepared statement said she wanted to come to Chancery Market to bring her food to a “wider audience.”
The Chancery Market Food Hall opened in December 2020. It has eight food and drink concepts in a 12,000-square-foot space.
One of the food hall’s first operators was Fuku, a spicy fried chicken venture founded by chef, author and TV star David Chang. It was best known for its spicy fried chicken sandwich, a habanero-brined thigh served on a Martin’s potato roll.
Fuku left Chancery Market in July 2023.
