The human capacity for love is fundamental. Love is also something we can learn more about and involves a skill we can improve. The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is inviting young visitors to explore love, feelings, friendship and empathy with “XOXO: An Exhibition about Love and Forgiveness.”
The show features interactive displays, storytelling and creative activities that help kids embrace the uniqueness of others, as well as themselves. “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes spoke with Karen Kelly, the director of exhibits and education at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta, about the latest exhibit.
The exhibit is recommended for children ages 2-12 and their families. “This is an age in which kids are really learning how to manage their emotions, and love is really important, but they’re also learning how to cope with other emotions,” said Kelly.
