
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Parents looking for fun and engaging activities to keep their kids busy over Spring Break can check out the Eco-Explorers Day Camps organized by Ashley Garcia with the Rio Grande International Study Center.
Designed for elementary and middle school students, the camp runs from Monday through Wednesday and offers hands-on activities at locations like Rancho Rio Verde, TAMIU, and Lake Casa Blanca.
Kids will get to explore nature through eco-hiking, birdwatching, eco-art, fishing, and even a visit to the planetarium. Camp hours vary, starting at 8:00 or 8:30 AM and ending around 2:00 or 3:00 PM.
