Two children rescued off ice in Town of Maine

MAINE, N.Y. (WBNG) — Crews are responding to a call of two 12-year-olds stuck on ice.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office, State Troopers, Maine Emergency Squads and Union Center Fire reported to the scene, behind 196 Edson Rd., Town of Maine.

Officials said two children played in the forest and got stuck on the ice.

Around 5 p.m., the Broome County Sheriff’s Office said children were rescued and safe.
