WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) — Kids of all ages in central Wisconsin this weekend had a chance to learn all about the world of physics. UW Madison took their “Wonders of Physics” show on the road to the Imaginarium in Wausau – they do presentations all around the state, showcasing several hands on demonstrations teaching all about the world of physics – everything from gravity, to energy, to electricity, and so much more.
According to event coordinator Haddie McLean, the purpose of the program is to really excite kids around science. They’re trying to get that next generation of scientists really interested. She adds that so many kids discount themselves out of this area well before they should, thinking that they can’t do it or shouldn’t do it, but that “science is for everyone”.
She also adds that the Wonders of Physics is entirely funded by donations. If you’re interested in learning more about the program, or if you’d like to donate, you can check out their website here.
