Rhinelander Area Food Pantry begins Spring Challenge on Saturday

RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAW) – The Rhinelander Area Food Pantry is challenging people to contribute to the Annual Spring Challenge.

Two local families, who wish to remain anonymous, have agreed to make a partial match for all donations or pledges received from March 1 through April 30.

The 2025 Spring Challenge marks the 20th Anniversary of RAFP and over nine million pounds of food distributed to the community.

RAFP currently serves over 1,000 households and provides 35,000 meals to kids in our community. Organizers say donations can be lower during this time of year, so your help is greatly appreciated.

Giving during the RAFP Spring Challenge can help make your donation go farther and provide even more help to area families in need.

RAFP will also be hosting its 20th Anniversary Celebration & Fundraiser on Saturday, April 26. It will go from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Pines.

The event includes a brunch and salad bar, a mimosa and juice bar, an empty cup soup bar, 50/50 raffle and more. Tickets are $30 or you can reserve a table for eight people for $250.

To help the Food Pantry with the Annual RAFP Spring Challenge, monetary donations can be made to:

Rhinelander Area Food Pantry PO Box 1306, Rhinelander, WI 54501.

Food items may be dropped off at the Food Pantry at 627 Coon Street from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.
