The Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation Department and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will host a free Kids’ Fishing Rodeo 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. March 8, according to a city media release.
The event will be at Plum Lake next to the Wichita Falls Softball Complex at 1702 Sheppard Access Road.
It’s free event is for children between the ages of 2 and 16. Prizes will be awarded.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles and bait. However, a limited number of fishingpoles will be available to borrow from Texas Parks and Wildlife. That equipment will be provided on a first-come first-served basis.
